Born and raised in Michigan I’ve called Atlanta home since 1991.

A Central Michigan University alumnus, I have a BFA degree in Journalism, with an emphasis on Photojournalism.

Although I received top grades my art photography teachers all told me that my photography was “too journalistic” and my photojournalism teachers said my photos were “too artistic”. My studio photography teacher didn’t know what to say when he found out I was running around town with a 4×5 studio camera on a huge wooden tripod, instead of working inside the studio.

I have worked as a professional photographer but found that I didn’t enjoy photography as my main profession. I prefer to take photos when I feel inspired, not because I need to pay my bills.

I went back to school and earned a Master’s degree in Infomation Technology and have been working as a Web Developer for over twenty years.
